Rowena has fifteen years experience in the practice of Counselling, Family Therapy and Psychotherapy. Rowena is available to offer supervision to counsellors and therapists.

She works with couples, families and individuals.

She is a facilitator of Women’s Living without Violence Support and Education Groups, Children’s and Teenagers Living without Violence Groups.

A Founding Trustee of Rosa Counselling Trust, Rowena helped set up this agency in 1997 to provide an accessible and affordable community counselling agency and budgeting service for the people in Rodney district.

Rowena has a keen interest in both psychosocial research and ethical practice issues. She was appointed as a Community member of Massey University, Albany, and Human Ethics Committee in 2002 and is currently actively involved in this work.

Rowena’s fee scale is from:

$50 to $80 per hour session for individual children

$80 to $100 per hour session for individuals.

When appropriate and by consultation Rowena co-works with Rick Currie when working with couples and families. And the fee is $120 per hour and a half session.

She is happy to meet with you, discuss your needs and see if both parties are able to form a therapeutic or supervisory relationship.
